Hi hi!

I just wanted to say thanks to Fiona (once again, :P) for writing such a fantastic trilogy of books. I can assure you that every single persons hands that I have put these books into, they have loved. And, thus, have moved onto your other books Fi! Yay! But the most recent victim (heh) was my unsuspecting boyfriend who I sent away to Townsville with the army with 'Myrren's Gift'. He came back for Easter and bought 'Blood and Memory'. He's being deployed to the Solomon Islands in a week and his birthday is in two and a half. All he has requested for his birthday is more books by you, Fi. The best part is that I get free postage to him up to two kilos. So I can send him two kilos worth of Fiona goodness!

We were also talking about calling our daughters Myrren and Valentyna. We had to let Wyl slide because my sister has already decided that William is going to be the name of her son and then Romen was passed on because Boyfriend knew a Romen and hated him.

Yeah, I kinda totally converted him.

Hey Fi...

Together we can take over the world!

<insert evil laugh here>

That's it really. And just wondering if you got the email I sent you awhile ago now? Oh, and if I send you a copy of your book to sign for Boyfriend whilst he's away (for four months !!), would that be at all possible?

- Kiki ;D

Of course! I'd be delighted to sign them for him. Loved reading your post - it really made me smile. I've been very lapse or rather very overwhelmed by my own work colliding with Year 12 and twins. Hate to bleat but I feel like I'm in Groundhog mode - every day is the same and it's filled with assignments and keeping the boys on track. And in juggling three novels this year I'm pushing uphill. I was going to send you some books Kiki....but I've got an even better idea. Watch your email - hopefully you'll be delighted. Fx

greetings from a wind and rain swept kings wood, great book reading weather

well finished 2 days ago the last 25 page where hard going , every time i sat down with the book and a cup of coffee i would just start and some one would come in to the room or house. any way great  what can i say you did not let me down as some do ,though maybe a main character or two geting killed would be good. the  story was great loved it  the 3 kingdoms where well laid out i would love to see what happens in say 50 to 100 years time , maybe worth a story ? any way i am at chapter 4 of betrayal started to day, i got all 3 books so now no waiting for books to be ordered in .

Hi Tony

Glad it pleased, thanks for letting me know and brightening my windswept and rainy Monday - not that I'm complaining because we need the rain and I love winter so it can throw it down for all I care.

I hope you enjoy Trinity.  It's a very different sort of read and my first attempt to even write a book but that's where I was seven years ago and I can't deny I love the story.   Trust it's a good companion for you.

Cheers, F

Fiona x

I wish I could speak French. I picked up a lot of it when I was travelling through France and Belgium but that was a year ago now and I barely remember any except the basic 'Bonjour', 'Merci Bearcoup' and 'Tres Bon' etc.

At least I'm fluent in English...

Bonjour Christelle, bienvenue au forum. Espérez vous voir autour, associez-vous svp aux autres conversations que vous voyez et n'êtes pas timide. Bienvenue encore Ailsa (I hope that has made sense?)

Kiki, I don't speak French either unless you count ballet terminology but I have found a wonderful free translator on the internet that hopefully helps me get a point across. You should give it a got, just Goggle Free Online Translator and that should help, then we can all still have conversations online even with a language barrier.

HAIL the fantasy writer!

Gosh Fiona, I didn't realise you spoke French! Hmm know any Indonesian? Thats about the best I can do =)

I am just finishing off Blood and Memory, and am loving it! Your books are so unique and amazing, I get really disappointed when I finish one of your series because then I know I will have to find something even better to read next, which is nigh on impossible, because you are the best author around! I'd rather read about Myrren, Torkyn or Ana any day over Harry Potter I finish reading one of your books and move on to authors like Cecilia Dart-Thornton and think 'Gosh, this is SO boring!' and wait eagerly for the next F.M book to come out. Every friend I know raves about Betrayal, Revenge and Destiny. A single copy of each is currently making its rounds with the pre-service teachers around my uni and not a single person has said a bad word about your books.

Keep making your amazing stories and inspiring young people to read. My best friend just finished writing her very first fantasy novel because she was so inspired by your writing.

Wishing you all the best, from your number 1 fan

Wow...that is so kind of you! Just what this girl needed at nearly 10am on a Tuesday - it's been one of those mornings and your lovely note has cheered me...thank you so much. I'm thrilled to know my books bring you such pleasure and rather stunned to hear about your friend finishing her first fantasy novel because of my writing. Encourage her all you can. Finishing one's first manuscript is the hardest, hardest task in the journey of any new writer and she needs lots of praise, lots of congratulations. Help her by reading it and offering all that wealth of experience as a fantasy lover. As for the uni - bring it on. I wish I could pay you all a surprise visit, have a chat to the tutors and students and maybe get everyone fired up. I love writing my big stories and the reward is an email like yours where I know I've touched someone with the tale and there's a wonderful spin off effect for others. Thanks again. Say hello to all those lovely readers for me! Fx p.s. Royal Exile out Sep 1....not long now.
