Liliana Eleanor Hayes was born at 11:05pm on the 21st of May, 3.71 kg - 8b 3oz for all those non-metricized people out there - and 49cm long (19 1/3 inches).

Leis did so well throughout and the birth was almost like clockwork after a long first stage of labour - I'm so proud of the way she managed to remember all that breathing at the right times despite the pain. My beautiful dark-haired Lily began feeding almost immediately and both daughter and Mum are doing very well. Some of you might remember my better half, Leis (TheRealAngelique) from the forums for her recipes and a couple of attempts to bring the little-uns to FAB (Bookclub) before we admitted defeat on that front.

The other kids are so puffed up with pride and excitement too, especially next youngest Nathan (4) who has announced he will be the best big brother ever, teaching her how to walk and march!

I was going to post something about Lily's arrival, Trent, but didn't want to steal your thunder so I'm very glad you've made it official and I for one feel elated that she's arrived, safe, sound and very gorgeous. Congratulations Trent; I can tell you're ecstatic. Glad to hear Leis handled the ordeal well, and that she and baby Lily are doing so well. Post a pic when you get a chance so we can decide who she looks like. Whoops, can't do that; I don't know what either of you guys look like!! OK, just post a pic for familial pride!
