Blimey, why didn't I see this on the big screen! What an amazing piece of ghoulish entertainment. Watched it with my boys and we all flipped over it on Friday night to the point where we felt compelled to download the music and we're now all singing about the 'worst pies in London'! Everyone's brilliant in it - Johnny Depp is so versatile and there are some flashes of Jack Sparrow but he'll never shake off that benchmark character. Sparrow is like Indiana Jones or Darth Vader....they just live with you. Anyway, see this movie. Be prepared for lots of blood but Tim Burton ensures it's so vibrant that can constantly tell yourself.....this is just red liquid. Music is stunning. Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham-Carter and Sacha Baren Cohen....superb. The style of filming is pretty amazing too. Now i want to see the musical! F
