I just read all three of these books. I read all three in super quick time. Great read.
I saw this website advertised in the book. I thought I'd log on and tell you how much I enjoyed them.

Hi Mike
Good to hear from you and great to know that you enjoyed Trinity. I feel a long way from Tor and co, now that I've written so many novels since and yet that first story I do feel rather sentimental over because it got me my break into being published but also was very close to my heart. Thanks for devouring it.
Are you writing from overseas?

I am from England. According to the bit at the front of the books, this is where you were born. So I assume that you know it. I'll definately read some more of your work. I'll move on to The Quickening Trilogy.

Yes, originally English. Came to Australia alone aged 19 and although I've lived here ever since - because Australia is brilliant - I do get back to Britain regularly for my fix of all things English.
You're choosing to read the books, whether intentionally or inadvertently, in order ... which always pleases me. It's not that they need to be read as Trinity, Quickening, Percheron, Valisar .... but I think if you travel with me in that order then you'll not only experience me growing as a writer but I do like to throw back to previous series with little snippets of info and that is far more meaningful for a reader if they know the lands or people I refer to.
Myrren's Gift, book one of The Quickening remains my favourite of all books. Hope you enjoy it!

It was inadvertant that the first books that I read were your first trilogy. But then I realised that they were the first three, so decided to read the rest in order anyway.
I am glad this pleases you. And not just because since seeing your picture on this website, I realise I fancy you. But because the books I have just read have pleased me. It feels good to send these feelings back.

I'm up for that, as long as I can have some copies of your books while being in there.
I have to say, when I came online to say how much I enjoyed the books, I didn't think the conversation would go this way... But hey.

Despite not fancying either of them, there are a couple of British fantasy authors I like. I don't know if you get them in Australia, but one is David Gemmell who sadly died a couple of years ago. There's not as much magic in his books, but creates some interesting characters and explores what drives people to become warriors, and how meaningless fighting can become.
Also one I found last year was Stan Nicholls, who I also couldn't put down when I first picked up.

Mike, more pictures of the gorgeous Fiona at www.laurencrow.com.
(The book's pretty good too if you like crime).
David Gemmell is certainly available in Australia, but haven't seen Stan Nicolls particularly (although I've never really looked). Will have to keep an eye out.

I have brought myself a copy of Myrren's Gift, and am reading my way through it. It's good so far, and I have already noticed one reference to the character's from the last trilogy you mentioned. Nice touch. I'll be back when I have finished reading the books, and give you my expert analysis.
To tide me over, I'll look at the link you requested, see if I can perv any more, I mean spot any more pictures of Fiona.
