Loethar ready to take on Brighthelm... he seems so small and alone in front of such strength and power, and yet...
A great cover art for a great story. Thank you, Fiona.

PS: and yes, I couldn't resist posting here, too. I'm careful about what I'm posting. I know too much (and too few ! April seems so far away, I'm dying !)

Yet another french reader here ![]()
I just came back from the store, this awesome book hold tight in my hands ... what a gorgeous cover !!! One of my new year's resolution was to restart seriously Myrren's Gift ; seems it'll have to wait some more time ^^
I'll post my opinion here soon as I'll start reading, which, actually, means tonight!!
Anyway, I'll bring the book with me if I can manage to see you in Paris in March =)

We managed to get our hands on it with Layne today! It was pretty difficult, with all the snow the delivery has been delayed in most of the libraries. One man even told us the book will be release only tomorrow, but we knew better!
Finally, we were able to get it, and it's even more beautiful in real than in picture! What a beautiful artcover!
But I wanted to thank you Fiona so very much for our names in the aknowlogements! We were so delighted that we jumped everywhere in the store, and attract the attention of all the costumers
Thank you for all the members of the french forum who were so happy to learn that you named them also!!!
The book is wonderful, and I can't wait to start reading the french version to compare it with the english version, and maybe some details witch have escaped me while reading in english will be very valuable! But I have to finished the second book of the Nightrunners series by Lynn Flewelling before. I'm almost at the end so it will be soon!
I'm looking forward to talk about the translation with Synne!

Oh my god! Thank you so much for the aknowledgements, Fiona! I can't believe it, even if I am reading it right now with my own eyes ^^ This is so kind of you! And the cover is so awesome! I love it
It was so funny, Ophidia and me boucing and giggling in the middle of the bookstore! The Champs Elysées saved our lives! we don't have to wait till tomorrow. I think this book is the most beautiful Bragelonne has ever made!
I can't wait to come with this book on march and have it dedicated!

I'm looking forward to it too! You know, I didn't know witch of your books to bring for the singing before today, I have so many of your books, and only one with a dedicace (Le Sang!) so it was difficult to choose the one that will have the honnor, because Destiny have a special part in my heart (it nearly breaks it! It was so intense emotionnaly for me), but I also love all three books of Percheron, and Bye Bye Baby very much, as weel as the english version of Royal Exile.
But when I saw l'Exil today, and I take it in my hands, I knew it will be this one! The cover is so beautiful, and it's a collector edition, so I think the choice is easily made!

I can't wait to hold my own copy in my hands either. Have you received yours yet, Fiona? Anyway, I want to thank you again for the acknowledgment and tell all the people here at your board how generous you are. Other authors have thanked me for their translation, but you're the first to do so in a book. How thoughtful and touching of you! Unlike Layne and Ophidia, I was at home when I read it, but it did sent my heart beating much faster, and I called my husband at work to tell him, because I SO wanted to share the news!
Thanks again. And I, too, will bring my copy of l'Exil in March. Can't wait!
