Another top trilogy from the world's most fanciable author.

I really enjoyed reading that. My birthday is on October 6th. I'll ask for some more of your books. Though I better ask for Valisar, as I may have got impatient by the first week in October and gone out and brought Percheron already.

Aah man, you haven't even finished Valisar yet. Write quicker, I am catching up.

Hi Mke, Royal Exile - Valisar volume 1 will be avallable in UK in October. Not too long away. I am halfway through Valisar - in fact I have less to write on that book than the amount already written. That's the best equation to be staring at. And it will be delivered to the publisher in November, however, publishers like to bring a book out only once a year. I hate it too but that's the system. There's always Lauren Crow - crime (my alter ego) and she'll have another book out by April and my name will finally grace the cover! F

That gave me a giggle, thanks Mike. I couldn't agree more. We used to bring out two books a year but then the publisher decided it would be one big trade paperback each year and in Britain it's a hardback, you lucky thing you! Fx

The good news is I did ask for the next set of books for my birthday.

The bad news is my birthday is a month away. What am I going to do for the next month? I'm not going to have to *gasp* read somebody else am I? How will I cope?

I just finished reading this series, and it's tying with Trinity for my favourite. It had me laughing and crying throughout the book, though I have to say I laughed most when Wyl had his err...'womanly problems' with Ylena. That was funny. Altogether very likeable characters and an excellent plot. I can't wait to read the Valisar book.

You've got Percheron in between that series, Lioness, if you want to keep reading in order! (grin) Thanks - so glad The Quickening hit the mark and came up to expectations alongside Trinity that you enjoyed. F

Just a light edit to hide the spoiler.  Highlight the missing text to read it.

hi im new to this i just wanted to say that i loved the quickening trilogy i was so grasped by the story that when it came to the horrible bit where wyl crossed into ylenas body i actualy threw the book away i was so upset haha just goes to show how much you actualy love the charecters. thank you for the amazing books you write.

Poster, don't worry about this; just protecting a secret from anyone who hasn't yet read the story.

SPOILERS...........................SPOILERS.................................SPOILERS...................PLEASE DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE QUICKENING...............................SPOILERS...............................SPOILERS! POILERS...........................SPOILERS.................................SPOILERS...................PLEASE DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE QUICKENING...............................SPOILERS...............................SPOILERS! If it's any consolation, I had to stop writing for the day after I'd written that bit! I didn't see it coming and it really upset me. And my British editor tells the humorous story of reading the manuscript to Blood and Memory on a very quiet commuter train to London that left very early in the morning so most travellers were sleeping out the one hour journey. He was relishing the opportunity to read in silence and he got to that bit in his reading and yelled aloud, waking most in his carriage and having to deal with very disgruntled passengers when he tried to explain...."No, you don't understand, Ylena just tried to kill Wyl thinking he was Faryl who murdered Romen, who Wyl had turned into, but it was actually Wyl in her body.....oh never mind."

[FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE QUICKENING YET: THIS POST CONTAINS A LOT OF SPOILERS!]

Spoilers hidden.  Highlight hidden text to read

After having finished the Trinity months ago (for the second time) I am very happy to say that indeed I got the Quickening for my birthday!:D (About two weeks ago) and well, I finished it^^

I must say, it was very different from what I expected at first! Especially at the end it was very unpredictable. I was completely captivated throughout all the books. I just love your style! You have an exceptional way of describing things very visually
like Myrren's torture - I was almost nauseated by the sound of her joints popping cause I could almost hear it happen...xD
On the other hand, with this huge talent of yours you create the most wonderful descriptions of landscapes, people's characters and everything, and it is that which I love^___^ 'Bridge of Souls' was definitely my favourite of the three books=) I didn't want to reach the end though... I was afraid to be disappointed that I'd reached the end, but it turns out it was OK^^ That's probably because the end of the story wasn't very open=) I thought it was a little bit of a shame that
we didn't get a description of Wyl's child, but that was alright because it was already mentioned earlier that it would resemble the 'true' Wyl.
Besides, a story has to end somewhere, eh?:P And still, the end of the book didn't leave me so empty^^

All in all, this series is competing with the Trinity to be my favourite^^ Also, I was (happily) surprised by
some mentions of Tallinor and a couple of people from the Trinity
I thought that was pretty cool. I can't wait to read Percheron and Valisar! But for now I'm gonna focus on my exams (I finished the Quickening just before they actually started! Whew!) - don't worry, I won't be distracted by them now:P Keep those epic novels coming!:D

Despoilerized by Phil, your friendly moderator, Saxgirl, you did a good job of alerting for your spoilers; I just hid them to avoid a new reader inadvertently seeing them
