I'll probably take it in this Saturday as a matinee.  It'll probably still be crowded, but not like the first couple of days.

hahah yea, my friends and I went to the midnight screening at the IMAX - and we lined up at 10.30pm and we were still not that close to the front :S It was crazy, but so totally worth it!

My boyfriend, his little cousin and myself watched it on Thursday, afternoon session.  It wasn't too crowded, lots of empty rows on the sides and up the front.

Storyline was it was alright, though i'm a little miffed with christmas, Fleur and Bill, lack of full emphasise on Ron's prodigious quidditch talent and I felt that the mending of a certain item was not really illustrated well.  I saw no mending taking place... i saw no tools...no wands fixing things.

That said i really enjoyed Hermione in this installment.  She felt more like the character i thought she was then the slightly cheesy one in the last film.  Loved both Ron and Harry in there potion induced states too.

Ginny wasn't as cool as she should of been, Luna as always steals the screen as well.

I'm sorry if i'm scary.

**SPOILERS**

ok - hopefully I've left enough space so that your eyes don't accidently glance at what I've written below :)

yes I agree with you Melayna - Christmas at the burrow was a bit confusing..o_O

And yea I miss all the little story lines that were in the book, but wasn't in the movie, such as bill/fleur, tonks/lupin, not to mention, there was a HUGE fight scene at the end of the book which was non-existant in the movies. It was so funny though when I went to see it - the bit at the burrow where tonks all of a sudden refers to lupin as 'sweetheart' - a lot of people in the cinema were like 'what?? I didn't know that happened?' haha!

And yep definitely luna and hermione were awesome in this film (and secretely I'm in love with draco malfoy....)

Well i went and saw it for a 3rd time last night, and I'm definitely enjoying it a lot more. With each passing I notice lots of little things. Like Dumbledore's realisation that Harry might be a Horcrux (you can see it in his eyes when Harry touches the ring), and also a Wizard's version of Playboy hidden in a textbook in the library (very funny when I noticed it). It's my favourite book, and definitely now my favourite film.

oh yea I agree with you there PP - when I saw it for the second time, I spent more time noticing the little things I missed. The soundtrack is totally awesome as well!

HBP is one my favourite books too in the whole series!!

Many of my friends seemed to be a bit, well, disappointed with this film, but I went to the cinema in the mood to enjoy it... and I did!

Really glad I read this before I see the movie again (when I get the DVD). Thanks for the pointers of some things to look for.

I have learned over time to not expect the movies to be the book, I keep my disappointment down that way.  Having said that, this had been my favourite book in the series and I found the movie did not live up to my hopes.  Still gotta love it on the screen though.
