Good news. I have signed on to write a new fantasy with Voyager in Australia and UK and Eos in the US. It's to be a single volume and I'm returning you all to the world of The Quickening but a whole new era, a whole new story. I'll start writing it next year but will keep you all posted. More details will flow as it all starts to take shape but just thought I'd reassure you all that despite moving into new genres I am still happily knee deep in my beloved fantasy and very much looking forward to writing this new tale. That is great news Fiona. You just sold your first US copy to me. I loved the plot twists in The Quickening series and I am really looking forward to visiting that world again.  I have several friends that I have introduced to your books who are now Fiona fans and we're all counting off the days until we can get our hands on King's Wrath. Thanks for writing such great stories and for being so friendly and accessible to all of your fans on this great site.

It is nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

Fi, you already know what my reaction is going to be.

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Luckily I found this out surrounded by other people who I converted to your books - through the Quickening, incidentally - and we all got very excited. In fact, we're thinking about having a party. Well, maybe not a 'party' persay, but there was a definite cheer of delight. :D

I'm super excited for it now. Keep us posted on how it all works out!

Glad you're happy, KK. Say hello to all your friends from me and I promise to keep you all fully in the loop, especially as we get closer to kick off time. For now, it's all about King's Wrath, out any minute!

It is tough out there, P. Especially as we move into the new and still unknown world of e-books.

KIng's Wrath is due out any minute in Australia - but I'm living in England at the moment! Luckily I have family who will send me copies of the books to ease my anxiety at not reading the new Fi book as soon as I possibly can. Plus, there's always a wonderful re-read of the Quickening that is sitting on my bookshelf. :D
