We WON!!!
Australia vs England, 3 - 1!
And all the experts over here said England would win by at least a 2 goal margin, shows what they know, huh?

I went to an Aussie bar here to watch it, and despite the crowd being over 3/4 English, us Aussies in the corner made the most noise.

We won! Cheers!

Do you know I got up SO early this morning, staggering around the place and couldn't for the life of me remember why! Now I know why. Rats! I heard the score though so still deliriously happy and watched the replay. Fantastic.

Just another in the long line of sports in which we have now kicked England's asses! And as for beating us in the rugby, Dys, I hate to tell you this, but the World Cup is NOT being played in England.

Let's face it, it's no disgrace to lose to a better team. Thing is, England are so good at it!

I think I take offence to that comment Jess.

Well I would if I was the type who took offence at such comments, but since I'm not really , I don't. But I could, maybe.

One of my highlights was after we scored our first goal. One of the English presenters said:
"Well actually thats the best thing that could have happened for England."
What the?? <img src=">

The England team always does crappy when it's an important game, - although I was surprised we lost <img src=">

Trouble with the UK media, is that they get sooo into it, no matter how badly we do, and how consist we are at doing badly, the next day the media still tells us how we can win the world cup lol.

We will beat you in the rugby instead!

Yes, Dys, England DID beat Australia at Twickenham last year. Now note the facts:

1. Played at Twickenham;
2. Australia with half a team out injured;
3. And you STILL only won by 1 (ONE) point.

Doesn't bode well for the world cup, on OUR turf, now does it?

I am depressed about the soccer... of course that stupid swedish coach doesn't understand the importance of Anglo-Penal rivalry. Oh well! I think on the night Australia deserved it... atleast they fought for the ball.

As a loyal supporter of the English side AND I do want to see the Australian side in the world cup, Australia winning is good for their chances for world cup application. England were hopeless, played sloppy, deserved to lose.

Snowy, try to think like Soldier (bit of an oxymoron there) and then it will make sense.
