Gang....I won't be around for a few days - I shall be punting down the River Murray on a houseboat with the family. The most strenuous things I intend doing are reading and tanning my legs. I shall miss you until we talk again.

Be nice to each other (I know you will anyway).

I shall see the Adelaide branch at Borders - hope you're loving Here Be Dragons?

Fxx

p.s. don't forget middle name for Goth. $50 up for grabs.

Bonnydoon...... Soldier I am in tears!!!!

but of course, our non Australian friends will have no idea what we are laughing at!!

I have been on a house boat too... and yes, Steve, it is wonderful (hows the serenity?) perhaps not something for the person that wants lots of excitement, but peaceful!

I have a friend (don't be surprised!) who owns a beautiful house boat. Last year I spent a long weekend on it. The peace, the tranquility, the serenity, the silence, it near drove me insane. Could not wait to get back to computers, foxtel, system of a down and squabbling kids.

:Blue

But Fiona you will love it. Sing "we're going to Bonnydoon" until the boys can't stand it anymore. Then they will leave you alone in case you sing it again!

Works for me anyway.

I love the great outdoors, when I'm able to view it from the comfort of either my car or my loungeroom. But the Murray is lovely, I grew u[ near there Fiona, as did my father and grandparent as well, so soak up my family history as you chug on by....
Plus my sister fell in fully clothed when she was about 2 or 3, and its lucky we found her, it could have been quite bad, as she barely made a splash when she fell, and it was only because I saw her that they got her out. Silly Flea!

I'm impressed that anyone could go punting on the Murray. I mean where do you get a pole long enough to reach the bottom?

And I won't even mention how impressed I am that Fiona can punt a house boat along!

p.s. Think of it this way at least you would be able to see in the dark... *LOL* All you would do is look for the blue bits, then you would know where the water would be :lol
