I was two chapters into Blood and Memory. And I set it aside to be a goodie for a 12 hour flight to Finland. It was going to be my big treat because I hate to fly. And tonight I went to pack the book in my carry on, and it was GONE!
I've searched the house. I can't get another copy because it's not published in the US yet. Worst of all, I suspect I know where it is. We are boxing up my library, preparing to do some major house re-modeling. I think I was reading it last in that room. There are 30 boxes of books in the garage, stacked up six boxes high. Somewhere in there is Blood and Memory, I just know it.
Now I'm going to be on an airplane for 12 hours with 3 books I 'should' read instead of the one book I really wanted to read.

HHmmm - quel domage. But - I recall that the Virgin in flight magazine commented on Fionas work fairly recently - so - you may find a copy in the airport bookshops. Good Luck. Meantime - Finland is a great place to visit - make sure you get a window seat to see the wonders of the archipeligo - but dont do the boat trip. If you get to Turku - make sure you visit the medieval castle and perhaps indulge in the medieval banquet. Hope you can adjust to the long hours of daylight - 2am is beuatiful. The wood and glassware is spectacular.
Happy travels:wave

You have my sympathies.....
Some of us very privliged Adelaidians, purchased the book as soon as it went on the shelves. Instead of lining up to get the lovely Ms Fiona autographs, we were all turning pages!
