I just wanted to thank you Fiona for the wonderful Quickening Trilogy. I just finished reading Bridge Of Souls and I'm sad to say goodbye to a truly fabulous cast of characters. Ones ,that I've grown to adore. I bought Myrren's Gift a few weeks ago on a whim, having heard nothing about you nor this ,captivating ,tale. None the less, ,I was instantly hooked from the first chapter and soon became emotionally attached to ,your thrilling, not to mention, ,deeply moving adventure. As ,despicable as he was King Celimus, was an awesome villain. I took great satisfaction in his death. You'd built him up over each book, into such a tremendous force ,of evil, that by the time he got his comeuppance and was made to pay for his antics I jumped out of my seat and made a fist! That said, I loved how arrogant he was throughout the whole thing. So in truth, in that sense, he was sort of the villain you loved to hate! Ruthless and without remorse, yet equally suave and charming when he needed to be. You couldn't really ask for more from the guy! An Oscar winning performance as far as evil dooers go! I also developed a soft spot for Jessom in the course of the books, so I was little sad to see him end up with no head. Still... I guess he had it coming!  ,None the less, I found his gradual remorse for the situation very touching.  ,He didn&rsquo,t seem so bad in the end.

How do you think Wyl and Valentyna ended up? I guess as Cailech, he would be more than a King, but a full blown Emperor surely? I only ask cos because I'm so attached to them all now, that I ponder on what happened next. It's amazing to think The Mountain King would sit on the throne of Morgravia. Would the citizens really accept him though? I can only imagine how shocked the regular Morgravian must have been upon learning that Celimus had died after such an extravagant marriage. Stunned I don&rsquo,t doubt. The masses adored him from what I can tell. I find the whole saga remarkable. I&rsquo,d love to read more adventures set in that world of yours. The three Kingdoms each had such a strong identity. I only finished the book a little while ago and I already miss everyone!

 ,

Might I ask how long each book took to write? And how much writing you did each day?

 ,

Anyway, I&rsquo,m sure you&rsquo,re bored of my ramblings by now, so I&rsquo,ll just say that I&rsquo,ve been singing your praises to all my friends, leading to two of them buying their own copies and reading the first story.  ,

 ,

In closing, thank you again!

 ,

And Merry Christmas!

 ,

Your new fan
